    Had a lovely pie and chips lunch for £7.50. Still enough ambiance to warrant a visit.  Features a beamed ceiling, lane entrance, 2 small bars and friendly service. Overheard a great story about seeing the Dead Kennedys when the dance floor collapsed (no fatalities reported) and a tip on a horse at Royal Ascot. The horse didn't come in, but I don't hold that against the pub.

    Once was great, but they spent a few £ on doing it up and ruined it. Would have been better either left as it was or if they had done a decent job of the refurb.

    Thankfully they retained the carved wooden red Indian

    Saying that I still like the Oak, just not as much as I did a few years ago.
